The big news this week on The Real Housewives of Atlanta — apart from last night’s season finale — are the rumors that Phaedra Parks has been FIRED from The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
But are they true?
The claims started when lovebscott.com ran a story saying Phaedra had not been given her pickup letter (renewal papers) after producers got fed-up with her “treacherous lies”.
One of the lies they refer to is the rumor she spread that Phaedra’s former friend Kandi Burruss had lesbian affairs with co-stars and also tried to date-rape fellow cast member Porsha Williams and take her to a “sex dungeon”.
The site’s sources said that while the other cast members got their renewal papers the week before last (after the filming of the reunion), Phaedra — who has appeared on the show since 2010 — didn’t get hers.
However, Phaedra’s rep then came forward and flatly denied the claims, saying that they were “untrue”.
Since then, though, lovebscott.com have since updated their story to point out that Phaedra had removed all mentions of RHOA from her various social media profiles.
And they added: “We know Phaedra loves her wordplay. ‘Fired’ vs ‘not asked to return’ — you can decide which works for you.”
Last night’s Real Housewives of Atlanta season finale saw Kim Zolciak-Biermann call Kenya Moore an a**hole, and it’s now being rumored that Kim could return to the show next season.
Phaedra is a practicing lawyer and a businessman so wouldn’t be short of cash even if she did stop appearing on RHOA.
What is the truth? Nobody yet knows — but it won’t be long before we find out.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta is set to air a four-part Season 9 reunion over the coming weeks, with Phaedra’s actions over the season taking center stage. More details about the upcoming Season 10 will also be released soon.
