The holiday season is upon us, meaning the Duggar siblings will be scattered throughout the country.
Years ago, everyone gathered at the Big House for the holiday. Things have changed quite a bit over the last decade, and the siblings have their own families and plans around the holidays.
Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard have traditionally stayed in their own home for Thanksgiving.
That tradition will continue this year, as Jill revealed she has been prepping dishes and pies ahead of the big day.
On her Instagram Story, she shared a photo about the importance of labeling dishes when preparing to host an event with different dishes.
She will likely welcome Derick’s mom and his brother’s family to spend the day at their home.
What is Jill Duggar doing for Thanksgiving?
Staying at home is what Jill Duggar has planned for the Thanksgiving holiday.
She didn’t reveal how many guests she would welcome, but it’s likely Derick Dillard’s side of the family, which is much smaller compared to hers.
On her Instagram Story, Jill shared that she was labeling her dishes as she prepared to host for the holiday.
There will likely be more photos from the get-together, especially as the food continues to be made and presented.
Jill is very interested in baking and cooking. She often shares her recipes and adds content to her Instagram that features her making something new.
Did Jill Duggar reconcile with her family?
It’s been no secret that Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard had a strained relationship with the Duggar clan.
Most of it centered around Jim Bob Duggar and how he ran things, but some siblings also had an issue with Jill when she walked away from Counting On in 2017.
She has been honest about reconciliation being the goal, and over the last year, it appears that work has been done to strengthen relationships.
Jill recently organized a sister get-together for Joy-Anna Duggar’s birthday. It gave the impression that the sisters still attempt to hang out and celebrate each other despite not being super close.
The former Counting On star was also spotted at the Big House last Christmas, seemingly talking to her biggest sibling critic, Jedidiah Duggar. It will be interesting to see where she and Derick land this year and whether any photos of the event are shown.
