Every season on Basketball Wives, we see a new group of women tested to see if they fit in with existing cast and more often than not, they just don’t. Jackie Christie has one woman in mind for the VH1 show that she thinks would be perfect and she’s going to keep pushing to bring the ultimate basketball wife on the show.
Jackie’s target is none other than LeBron’s wife Savannah James. With LeBron’s recent move to the Los Angeles Lakers, this would be the perfect time for Savannah to hop on board the Basketball Wives train if that’s something she wants to do.
Right now, Jackie is the only married Basketball Wives star. Her co-stars Shaunie O’Neal used to be married to NBA stars Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Anderson respectively but both have been divorced for years.
Likewise, Malaysia Pargo was married to Jannero Pargo but they divorced a few years back as well. Other than those women, the rest of the cast are fiances and girlfriends but not actual wives.
Bringing Savannah James on board for the show would help legitimize the whole thing in a major way. If she were to film, she’d be the only person currently married to an NBA star as Jackie’s husband Doug is now retired.
When approached at LAX by TMZ about her wish to get Savannah James to join the Basketball Wives cast, Jackie Christie wasn’t shy at all. “Savannah, come be on ‘Basketball Wives,’ we think you’re adorable!” she said.
We totally agree that Savannah James is pretty awesome and she’d be a lot of fun on Basketball Wives. That would be a huge step for LeBron James’ wife though, as she tends to stay out of the spotlight and drama.
