Jill Duggar just proved that she still loves her “buddies” when she posted about James Duggar celebrating his 20th birthday.
The former reality TV star has been candid about her strained relationship with her parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, and how it has affected the relationship she has with her siblings.
Despite that, Jill and James appear to be close. In fact, he was photographed with her a few weeks ago when Derick Dillard graduated from law school.
Followers were shocked to see him standing with his sister and her husband, especially given the very public way she has talked about the family.
Why did Jill Duggar call James her ‘buddy’ in the post?
Growing up, Jill Duggar was in charge of three of her younger siblings. She was the leader of her “buddy team.” Joy-Anna, James, and Jennifer were assigned to her.
Jana, Jessa, and Jinger Duggar also had their own buddy teams that included the younger siblings. The older brothers, John-David and Josh Duggar, were never given children to look over.
In her Instagram post, Jill made sure to send her brother some wishes for his birthday. James Duggar is no longer a teenager as he celebrated his 20th birthday.
She wrote, “Happy birthday to my (not so little) buddy, @jamesaduggar! you’re no longer a teenager [shocked emjoi]”
What is next for Jill Duggar?
Following the cancellation of Counting On, Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard released a statement. They were no longer involved with the show, but their entire relationship and everything through 2017 was caught on camera between 19 Kids and Counting and Counting On.
While she didn’t detail what the future holds for her and Derick, there have been hints that they may take a stab at some sort of reality TV show or something of their own.
They didn’t mind sharing their lives, and if they have control over what is shown and told, it would be something they would consider.
Missing the crew is a big thing for the Duggar family. Jill and Jessa Duggar went out with a few of them for lunch and shared a photo. After being in front of a camera for over a decade, the people behind the cameras become like family.
Even though she may be dealing with a strained family relationship, it is clear that Jill Duggar still loves her brother James a whole bunch.
