If you’re a fan of the Married at First Sight series, then Lifetime’s new show is right up your alley. The network has another spinoff coming to your TV screens very soon, Married at First Sight: Unmatchables.
Capitalizing on the success of the original show, Lifetime already has a few other MAFS spinoffs in rotation. And, much like the others, this newest addition will feature some familiar faces from the franchise.
About Married at First Sight: Unmatchables
The newest addition to the Married at First Sight franchise seeks to help unlucky singles find love — following on the theme of the original series.
Over 65,000 people have applied to participate in, Married at First Sight, hoping to get their chance of finding their ideal match with some expert help.
However, not everyone who applied to be on the show turned out to be marriage material.
It seems the experts found some diamonds in the rough who didn’t quite fit the bill for marriage quite yet, but that doesn’t mean they don’t deserve a chance at love.
So, sixteen applicants who didn’t quite make the cut for Married at First Sight will get a second chance at love in Married at First Sight: Unmatchables.
What can you expect?
You can expect to see a few familiar faces when Married at First Sight: Unmatchables premieres on Lifetime.
The first episode will air on Wednesday, April 21 at 10/9c following a new episode of Married at First Sight.
But it’s not the contestants that you’ll recognize, it’s the experts that will guide them on their journey.
Pastor Calvin Roberson and Dr. Viviana Cole from Married at First Sight will also be featured on the spinoff. They have matched 16 individuals — eight men and eight women — from Atlanta Georgia hoping to spark a love connection between them.
The experts will offer each person a lifestyle overhaul and dole out strong relationship advice in hopes that the pairings will be successful.
Each episode will feature two unlucky-in-love singles
Throughout the process, each participant will have an opportunity to open up about the roadblocks that have prevented them from having meaningful romantic connections in their lives.
The season will feature eight, one-hour episodes each of which will follow the participants as they are set up with their potential partners.
Pastor Calvin Roberson and Dr. Viviana Coles will mentor two unlucky-in-love singles during each self-contained episode, as they attempt to find their perfect match.
The experts will also oversee the physical and personal transformation of each contestant to ensure success as they embark on their romantic journeys.
