With all the reality shows about tattoo shops and competitions, have you ever considered having a famous artist ink you up? Nicki Minaj has and she chose to get her artwork done by a pair of Black Ink Crew: Chicago artists.
Before getting inked, Nicki shared a now-deleted video on Instagram, explaining why she was getting a new tattoo. Nicki said that her new ink was in honor of the release of her new song, Rich Sex featuring Lil’ Wayne.
Just because Nicki deleted the video certainly doesn’t mean that it’s gone forever. Thanks to The Shade Room for grabbing a copy and sharing with everyone.
Both Ryan Henry and Phor were tagged in the video. Nicki captioned it, “#RichSex is out now!!!! I’m in here getting tatted up for y’all.”
Apparently, Nicki didn’t take the tattoo like a champ. Instead, she was seen in the video as she yelled “NO!” at Ryan. He tried to calm her down and talk her through each step of the tattoo as he did it.
After surviving the tattoo, Nicki Minaj and Ryan Henry took a couple of photos together. Based on the caption, it looks like Nicki was trying to show off her new tattoo but it’s really hard to see. In one of the photos. you can see a faint image on the inside of her right hand that snakes up across Nicki’s fingers.
It’s not entirely clear what the image is that Ryan and Phor tattooed on her. Hopefully, she really will share a better picture of the new tattoo once it heals up.
