Season 6 of the Real Housewives of Potomac promises to be just as exciting as we’ve come to expect and they wasted no time getting the drama started, as much of it came out during the Season 6 premiere.
The new season picks up right where the women left off, with lots of unresolved issues from Season 5 and lots of new feuds among the cast members.
Candiace Dillard is still at odds with Karen Huger
The Season 6 premiere of the Real Housewives of Potomac featured a party thrown by Wendy Osefo, but the cast members start to question Candiace Dillard’s noticeable absence from the event.
“Oh y’all were here, Candiace she is sick, she called me literally 10 minutes before,” said Wendy Osefo to the group in the short clip.
“I think she didn’t wanna be here,” chimed in Robyn Dixon. “Maybe she’s not ready to be in your presence,” Robyn continued while looking at Karen. “I don’t know that’s just me being skeptical…”
As you know, Candiace and Karen had a falling out last season after the Grande Dame took Monique’s side following her physical altercation with Candiace. And the two women have not been able to mend their friendship since then.
Karen told the group, “Well I’m not gonna ignore the fact that she was deeply hurt and she needs that time and I have to respect the process. I valued our friendship and it’s worth a conversation.”
Karen also added in her confessional, “Now for us to move forward I need to hear where Candiace and I are so that I can move accordingly and do my part.”
Gizelle Bryant clashes with Karen Huger
Another feud that will continue to play out in Season 6 of the Real Housewives of Potomac is the one between Gizelle Bryant and Karen Huger. Clearly, the two OGs have not been able to get back on the same page since last season’s tense reunion and their feud will intensify.
“My hope is that we can be collectively in a great place,” remarked Wendy during her dinner.
“That might be a little difficult” interjected Gizelle as Wendy questioned why. “Well, we all know I can’t stand Karen, so me and drunk Karen will probably never be good.” As the RHOP star continued on, Karen made it known that the feeling was “mutual.”
“So I have decided that I’ll just tell your truth, your whole truth…your drunk truth, your cheating truth, your broke truth,” continued Gizelle as Karen told her to, “Shut up, just shut up!”
“I’ll spread it out over time, don’t worry, added Gizelle. “I won’t tell it all tonight.”
As the season goes on we’ll continue to see the ongoing feud between Gizelle and Karen and lots more drama will ensue when Candiace rejoins the group.
