Sister Wives fans are hoping the show returns soon, or at least includes a tell-all special this year, after feeling like they were left hanging with “unanswered questions” this season.
This season on Sister Wives, viewers watched as the Browns navigated daily life in their gargantuan family while faced with the coronavirus pandemic.
Kody Brown’s relationships with each of his wives suffered this season
A major storyline was Meri and Kody’s crumbling relationship. The estranged duo showed viewers just how separated they have become in their marriage.
Janelle and Kody had more arguments than any other season, mainly due to disagreements on parenting and social distancing during quarantine.
Christine, Kody’s third wife, also opened up about her struggles in marriage to Kody. In a now-famous scene, Christine stormed off and exclaimed that she “couldn’t do marriage” with Kody anymore. She expressed her interest to move back to Utah several times.
Kody’s fourth wife, Robyn, seemed as though her only major concern was whether or not she would be having more babies with Kody.
The Browns’ dream of building on Coyote Pass is uncertain
One of the major storylines that seems to be dragging on forever, is when the family will build on their property at Coyote Pass.
This season, viewers discovered that although Christine’s house in Las Vegas sold (the last of the four homes left on the market), the family wasn’t in the financial position to start building on Coyote Pass.
Off-camera, fans of the show have learned that Meri has been spending her time in Parowan, Utah, caring for her B&B. Christine has been traveling and celebrating her kids’ milestones, mostly without Kody.
Janelle has been busy sticking to a new, healthier lifestyle, and has posted more pictures with Kody than any of his other wives.
Mysteriously silent on social media have been both Kody himself and Robyn. Many fans speculate that Kody has given up on polygamy and chosen to settle down with Robyn in a monogamous relationship.
Kody made it no secret this season that he was fed up with polygamy, particularly how his wives were treating him and each other.
So now that the season is over, fans have questions. Will Meri finally leave Kody and move back to Utah to be innkeeper at Lizzie’s? Will Christine also leave Kody and realize her dream of living in Utah once again?
Are Robyn and Kody carrying on as a happy little monogamous couple, completely unaware of what the other wives are doing?
There are still many unanswered questions, and Sister Wives fans want answers
In a Reddit thread, Sister Wives fans discussed next season and the possibility of a tell-all special in a post simply titled, “Next season?”
The thread’s creator asked fellow Sister Wives fans, “So does anyone know if there has been any buzz about a new season? I’ve just finished watching from the beginning and I need the hate watching to continue! TIA[.]”
Another fan of the show commented on the thread, and wanted answers. “I need some resolution. Then, the end of this abusive mess. I guess that’s the resolution I need. The end of this abusive mess. Where the women go off and live happy lives not chained to kody and Robyn,” the Reddit user replied.
One Sister Wives fan is curious about the outcome of the Browns’ experience with COVID-19, building on Coyote Pass, and the plights of wives Meri and Christine.
“I hate to admit I need to know what happens post acute phase of pandemic and with Coyote Pass. And with Meri & Christine,” wrote the user.
Another Reddit user felt like this season of the show left viewers with plenty of unanswered questions. They commented, “I feel like this season ended so abruptly and left us with so many unanswered questions.”
“The pandemic really did a number on this already struggling family. I would love to see if and how they come back together. I have always liked the Browns so sad to watch them this way,” the user added.
Will there be a tell-all this season?
In years past, Sister Wives held a tell-all special at the end of each season. Viewers got to hear Kody and his wives reflect on the prior season of the show and answer questions from the tell-all’s host.
The last such tell-all aired in 2019, after Season 13 concluded. So, will there be any more Sister Wives tell-all specials?
Fans of the show sure hope so, and unfortunately, all they can do is wait and see.
Sister Wives is currently on hiatus at TLC.
