Survivor Season 40, Episode 6 aired on Wednesday night, and it packed a pretty big punch.
Host Jeff Probst told viewers what to expect, but that didn’t make it any less exciting to see two Tribal Councils on the same episode.
It was a great follow-up to what happened last week when Rob Mariano was voted out by his new tribe. Earlier in the episode, everyone had dropped their buffs, and new tribes were formed.
As a reminder, these were the tribes at the beginning of Survivor 40, Episode 6:
Sele (blue): Parvati Shallow, Nick Wilson, Yul Kwon, Michele Fitzgerald, and Wendell Holland.
Dakal (red): Jeremy Collins, Denise Stapley, Tony Vlachos, Sandra Diaz-Twine, and Kim Spradlin-Wolfe.
Yara (green): Ben Driebergen, Adam Klein, Sarah Lucina, and Sophie Clarke.
Survivor Season 40, Episode 6 recap
The episode began with the Yara Tribe celebrating that they had voted out Boston Rob. In particular, Ben was boasting quite a bit, stating that he had grown close to Sarah and Sophie.
Adam called Rob the “wicked witch” when referring to him. He, too, saw Ben getting close with the women.
At Edge of Extinction, a clue revealed that the six residents could possibly find Fire Tokens hidden on the island. A hint suggested they were at the edge and could be covered by rock(s). The search began!
While searching, Tyson found an Idol Nullifier that he could sell to someone still in the game. He sold it to Parvati Shallow for one Fire Token. He spent his Fire Token on a huge jar of peanut butter.

Survivor Episode 6 Immunity Challenge
When they arrived at the Immunity Challenge, host Jeff Probst told them all that only the winning tribe would be safe for the night. The other two tribes would head to Tribal Council.
It was also a Reward Challenge, with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches awaiting the winning — and only the winning — tribe. Michele Fitzgerald and Sandra Diaz-Twine sat it out.
Sophie Clarke did really well in the final part of the challenge, winning Immunity and Reward for the Yara Tribe. It meant Sophie, Ben Driebergen, Adam Klein, and Sarah Lucina were all safe.
Tribal Council 1
Sele (Parvati, Nick, Yul, Michele, and Wendall) went in front of Jeff first. Wendall offered his vote to Parvati for two of her Fire Tokens.
She just had to name a person to vote against. From what we saw, she didn’t name a person.
The votes were: Parvati, Wendall, Wendall, Parvati, and Parvati. She became the seventh person voted out this season. Parvati gave her four Fire Tokens to Michele as she left for the Edge of Extinction.
Tribal Council 2
Dakal (Jeremy, Denise, Tony, Sandra, and Kim) had the second Tribal Council. Ahead of it, Sandra sold her Immunity Idol to Denise for two Fire Tokens.
Would that impact how things transpired? Also, Tony was shown in another Spy Shack, from which he watched things go down.

There was a brief discussion and then Dakal got right to the vote. Denise played a Hidden Immunity Idol, giving her safety. Denise then played a second Immunity Idol, protecting Jeremy.
The votes were: Denise, Denise, Denise, Denise, and Sandra! Denise voted out Sandra! That was the biggest blindside we have seen in a while.
Parvati and Sandra now head out to the Edge of Extinction where they will await a chance to try to get back in the game.
