Maci Bookout has opened up about suffering a miscarriage last year — and revealing the baby’s name was “Dande” after “Dandelion”.

The moment she broke the news was captured during filming for this week’s episode of Teen Mom OG.

She and husband Taylor McKinney were celebrating their one-year wedding anniversary when a discussion about having another child came up.

The conversation started with Maci telling Taylor she would rather adopt than have another child, although Taylor seemed keen to have another baby.

When she mentions adoption, Taylor says: “We can do that too. What kind of timeline are you thinking about?”

Maci replies: “A year — two years? But I think we both agree that when we adopt, we do not want to adopt a baby. We want to adopt a child, right?”

She adds: “If you seriously want to have another baby then I’ll do it, but I still want to adopt too. But if that’s really what you want, like naturally, I want to do it now.”

Clicking his fingers, Taylor says: “If we want it to happen, it’s going to happen like that.”

Maci replies: “You’re forgetting something…” before waiting for it to sink in. Taylor, looking uncomfortable, says he is “going to run to the bathroom” before leaving the table.

A producer then asks Maci: “Hey, what happened?” Maci replies: “I had a miscarriage.” The producer says: “This year?” Maci makaes a sound in agreement, before revealing: “Her name was Dande…Dandelion. ”

After returning to the table, Taylor says: “I don’t want to talk about it.” But Maci insists: “I think it’s important for people that are watching that we talk about it.” Taylor replies: “I’d like to talk to our parents about it first.”
