The Bachelor star Peter Weber is single.
The reality star announced the news that he and Madison Prewett had split after trying to work on their relationship for a whopping two days.
He shared the news on Instagram.
The news didn’t come as a shock for many viewers, who watched the finale of The Bachelor.
Peter’s mom made some comments that clearly revealed she had no interest in having Madison as a daughter-in-law.
Peter Weber and Madison have split up after confrontational finale episode
On Instagram, Peter announced that he had split from Madison. He revealed that the decision was not an easy one.
“Madi and I have mutually decided to not pursue our relationship any further. Believe me this was not easy for either of us to be ok with, but after a lot of honest conversations, we have agreed that this is what makes most sense for the two of us. The love and respect I have for Madi will continue to endure,” he revealed.
Additionally, Peter addressed Hannah Ann. He revealed that she was a strong woman and set the perfect example for women everywhere based on the way she handled herself at the finale.
He also revealed that he accepts full responsibility for how things went down.
Madison also posted about their split on social media.
She thanked him for being a great guy and explained that she knew their paths were meant to cross. She also said she would always be his biggest fan.
Before they announced their split, Reality Steve guessed that the two would be doomed because of Peter’s behavior during the time they were not together.
“Sooooo yeah, Peter and Madi are doomed. I don’t buy any of that relationship we saw last night unfortunately, because now all these rumors I’ve been hearing for months of ‘Oh, Peter slept with so-and-so’ and ‘Oh, Peter was here doing this with this girl,’ honestly, I can’t rule any of them out.
“The playboy I heard about all season seems to be coming true. At first it happened at the expense of Hannah Ann, and now it looks like it’s gonna happen at Madi’s expense. Get out while you can, Madi.”
Peter Weber’s mom is refusing to apologize to Madison
The news of their split comes just hours after Peter’s mom revealed she has nothing to apologize for after her comments on The Bachelor.
“There’s nothing for me to apologize for,” Barbara told Life & Style in an exclusive interview after The Bachelor: After The Final Rose
“Everyone thinks it’s just me … but it wasn’t just me. It’s the whole family. It’s not that we did not like Madison. My answer to that is I don’t know Madison … I don’t know her well enough to form an opinion on such.”
During the reunion special, Barbara revealed that Madison had rubbed her the wrong way after she had made them wait to meet her. And when Madison finally did meet them, she didn’t say sorry.
After Barbara shared her opinion on the After The Final Rose special, she was called the worst mother-in-law ever.
It didn’t help when she was caught whispering something to her husband after Chris Harrison asked him for his opinion.
The Bachelor returns next January 2021.
