The Challenge: Double Agents final left viewers with a cliffhanger at the end of Episode 18, as one team had shown themselves to be ahead of the rest.
That team gained a special bonus for winning a checkpoint and was tasked with handing another team a serious disadvantage for TJ Lavin’s final.
However, they were struggling to figure out what to do, as other teams were trying to argue their cases for why they shouldn’t receive the disadvantage.
A new bit of sneak peek footage has arrived ahead of The Challenge Season 36, Episode 19, which briefly previews what viewers will see at the start of the episode.
The Challenge: Double Agents final continues in Episode 19
At the start of The Challenge Season 36 final, host TJ Lavin informed the competitors that there would be a top prize of $900,000 that the winning partners would split. Second-place would receive $100,000 while third place received nothing.
Along with that, one of the four teams wouldn’t even make it past the first day based on TJ’s comments. In Double Agents Episode 18, Chris “CT” Tamburello and Amber Borzotra set the bar high, winning their first two checkpoints.
The second of those included disgusting food and a mug of blood that the competitors had to consume. Somehow, CT and Amber made it through all of their food and drink while other teams were still trying to get it down.
With the victory, TJ informed CT and Amber they would receive a bonus. He gave them a “dessert plate” featuring more disgusting food that they could give to any other team of their choice. That would put the other team at a disadvantage since they’d be stuck trying to eat more food.
As the episode was coming to a close, Amber and CT discussed what to do while other teams tried to tell them not to give it to them. More of what the other teams had to say is featured in the new Episode 19 sneak peek below.
One Season 36 team is close, another is dealing with injury
The other three teams that reached the final were Kaycee Clark with Fessy Shafaat, Leroy Garrett with Nany Gonzalez, and Kam Williams with Cory Wharton. Of those teams, Cory and Kam were closest in the final to CT and Amber so far.
However, Kaycee had suffered an injury during part of the run on rocky terrain in the final. The unfortunate incident had her down on the ground in agony, and eventually required medics to check on her. After having her knee wrapped up, her teammate Fessy helped her hobble to the eating checkpoint.
Fessy wasn’t bothering to eat due to his partner’s injury while Kaycee was still attempting the checkpoint with tears in her eyes. Right now, it seems highly unlikely that Kaycee is going to be able to move all that fast in the final due to her knee.
The smart decision for Amber and CT seems to be giving that dessert plate to Kam and Cory to keep them at a distance. Will they go with the smartest strategy in front of them, or make a different decision?
Viewers will soon see if they hand a disadvantage to their closest competition, or the team nowhere near them in the final. In addition, one team will be crowned the winners of The Challenge Season 36 final by the end of Episode 19.
