Victoria Paul is looking to keep it real as she gets ready for her debut on Bachelor in Paradise and that includes being honest about her appearance.
The official Bachelor in Paradise cast list was recently released with gorgeous carefree photos of each cast member on the island and fans quickly noted that Victoria Paul’s photo made her look unrecognizable due to all the editing and photoshop.
Now, based on her latest post, it seems Victoria P. clearly agreed with that assessment.
Victoria Paul sets the record straight on her BIP cast photo
In her latest post, Victoria shared the edited BIP photo of her looking super tan and wearing a short hot pink halter dress. She captioned the post by tagging Bachelor in Paradise directly and asking the show what filter they put over her photo to make her look so unrealistic.
Along with that doctored photo, Victoria posted three unedited photos of her wearing the same hot pink dress in her house, proving that she didn’t need heavy edits to still look and feel beautiful.
In these unfiltered photos, Victoria flaunted her all-natural look wearing significantly less makeup and posing plainly without trying to edit or contour her face and body.
Victoria took a super up-close selfie of her face, as well as a photo of her pairing the pink halter dress with fuzzy slippers, looking far more realistic and relatable.
Victoria receives praise for her body positivity
Victoria’s call out of the show by posting her true body was a refreshing sight for plenty of viewers and members of The Bachelor franchise. Many voiced finding the unedited photos even more stunning than the Barbie-Esque edited photo that seemed to only further perpetuate impractical beauty standards.
Speaking out on body image isn’t new for Victoria Paul, who uses her platform to post non-photo shopped pictures and videos of herself and encourages others to be more concerned with who they are on the inside rather than just their outer beauty.
Similar to Victoria P. speaking out, The Bachelorette cohost, Kaitlyn Bristowe, recently received praise and support when she too got candid about the notable changes to her appearance.
These transparent acts from stars of The Bachelor franchise and the positive responses they receive from the public serve as an indicator that fans and cast members are eager for more authenticity and realness from the reality franchise.
Bachelor in Paradise returns Monday, August 16 at 8/7c on ABC.
