The new episode of Survivor: Winners at War is going to send two people to Extinction Island.
CBS revealed that two of the three tribes are going to have to go to Tribal Council during the March 18 episode of the show.
While one of those tribes is going to win the Immunity Idol, the other two tribes are going to have to face host Jeff Probst.
This seems like the perfect chance for the producers to roll out a two-hour episode, but that’s not going to be the case.
Survivor Season 40, Episode 6
There are 14 people left in the game as the new episode arrives. Rob Mariano was sent to Extinction Island at the end of the last episode, so he is about to have his reunion with Amber Mariano.
There are also a lot of Individual Immunity Idols in play, so it suggests a high probability that one or more of them could finally get used.
Is this also a chance for Parvati Shallow to use some of her Fire Tokens? She is now tied for having the most Fire Tokens on the Survivor 40 cast.
There is a lot of ground to cover in one hour, so it seems unlikely that viewers will get to see a lot of action taking place on Extinction Island.
Hopefully, the producers saved a lot of time to cover the two different Tribal Councils that will take place and increase the occupancy of Extinction Island to eight people.

Survivor Season 40 impressive so far
When it comes to a season that is basically a form of All-Stars, Survivor Season 40 is doing it very well. The episodes have been exciting, have led to a lot of social media buzz, and are nearly impossible to predict.
There were some people upset that Rob was the one voted out at the last Tribal Council, but he still has a chance to return to the game. He may get two chances if they do Extinction Island like it was done in the past.
While there was certainly some bad news about Survivor 41 that came out recently, the current season was mostly pre-taped, giving fans some semblance of normalcy as the new episodes air each Wednesday night.
The only thing left to film for Survivor Season 40 is the Reunion Show, where host Jeff Probst reads the votes and announces the winner. Hopefully, the producers are still able to put something together for that this spring.
Survivor: Winners at War airs Wednesday nights at 8/7c on CBS.
