Tyler Christopher has been a staple in the soap community since his debut in 1996. He played Nikolas Cassadine on General Hospital on and off for 20 years and most recently, stepped into the role of Stefan on Days of our Lives before leaving that role as well.
Monday night was Tyler Christopher’s 47th birthday, but it didn’t end well. The former General Hospital star was reportedly arrested in Martinsville, Indiana. According to TMZ, Tyler Christopher was booked for public intoxication. The outlet is reporting that he is being held on $225 cash and $1,000 bond.

There were rumors that Tyler Christopher may resume his role of Nikolas Cassadine on General Hospital. Instead, Marcus Coloma joined the show in that role and has appeared several times throughout the last several weeks. Fans were disappointed that Christopher was not returning, but there had been rumors that things weren’t going well for the actor.
Likewise, Day of our Lives fans were shocked to learn that all of the actors had been released from their contracts as the show goes on hiatus. Tyler Christopher abruptly left Days of our Lives and was replaced with Brandon Barash. There were questions about why he vacated the role and again, there were rumors about some turbulence in his life.
At this point, no statement has been issued by Tyler Christopher or anyone in connection with him. There is buzz all over social media about what is happening and many viewers are hoping that this will be a turning point for the soap fave. Christopher has a whole fan base pulling for him to get better and return to daytime TV.
