The Bold and the Beautiful: Who’s worthy of Steffy?

The Bold and the Beautiful fans have learned from the mare’s lips that Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) is ready to wade into the dating pool. The question is, is anyone good enough for her?

Steffy is a complicated woman with a complicated life. She’s just been through the mother of all dramas, literally. After adopting and raising a child she thought would be hers forever, the poor woman had to give her up in a shocking turn of events.

Baby Phoebe was bought through back door channels, but when she left Steffy’s arms, it was through the front door in the arms of her frenemy, Hope (Annika Noelle).

It turns out her biological mother was in town all along, believing that her baby, Beth, had died. No such thing. Beth was taken by an unscrupulous doctor and ended up with Steffy. By the time the truth came out, lives had been altered immeasurably.

Suffice it to say, Steffy eventually landed back on her feet, with one, not two kids, and is ready for romance.

She recently told Liam (Scott Clifton) of her dating plans, and the look on his face spoke volumes. He appeared like a cat rolling in catnip. Do you want to see Steam 34.0?

Should Steffy date an entirely new character? It would be refreshing to see the retread storyline of a Steffy/Hope/Liam triangle retired and have Steffy evolve beyond the boomerang romance department.

Why not pair her with Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor)? He’s an ambitious, good-looking guy who would probably make a great father. These days we only get to see the talented actor when someone gets married or annulled.

Then again, with the show exploring the wrong side of the tracks story angle with Shauna (Denise Richards) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), it would make perfect sense for Steffy to date a guy completely out of her orbit—maybe one of the bartenders at Bikini? I have no doubt Shauna has a shady but hot nephew out there somewhere who needs a sugar mama.

Then again, what’s wrong with Steffy focusing on being a mom and polishing her career? If anyone out there doesn’t need a man to complete her, it’s the force of nature, Steffy Forrester!

The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS.
