Camryn became a fan-favorite on the CBS show when she originated the role of Cassie Newman. When Cassie died from injuries she sustained in a car accident, fans missed having the talented actress on the soap opera.
Years later, Mariah was introduced as Cassie’s twin sister, and the daughter Sharon (Sharon Case) never knew existed. Fans have loved having the red-headed beauty back onscreen, which is why they can’t help but be curious about Camryn’s life offscreen.

“Soaps are a reflection of our times and society, or at least they should be. When you move with your audience every day, day in and day out, that’s what you need to be. You need to be addressing topical things. You need to be showing what the world looks like. And it’s beautiful. And it’s freaking awesome. It’s love. That’s my opinion,” she expressed in an interview with Soap Central last fall.
The actress also expressed that she and Cait know representation matters for the story, especially one involving a same-sex relationship. They work hard to ensure everything they do is authentic. Tessa and Mariah are a fan-favorite couple, which is a credit to both Cait and Camryn’s incredible talent.
Mariah and Tessa have hit a rough patch. The new story is only adding to fans’ love of the characters, as well as the actresses.

However, Camryn did use Twitter to respond to one troll’s tweet, which has now been deleted, regarding her sexuality and supporting the LGBTQ+ community.
“Not gay, but if I was I WOULD SHOUT IT FROM THE F**KING ROOFTOPS. Not one part of the LGBTQ+ community is a waste. Shame u can’t see that,” she wrote.
