The Young and the Restless fans are getting restless and want to know where is Gloria (Judith Chapman)? We haven’t seen her at the Jabot gatekeeper post in recent days, so what gives?
Worse yet, a millennial named Ted seems to have taken her place. Is he a temp while Gloria enjoys those spa days she bribed out of Billy (Jason Thompson) for transferring an obscene amount of Jabot money for him to gamble away?
Or is Gloria gone for good or semi-good only to be seen around the holidays like so many extended family members?
Yesterday, we watched as Billy Abbott and Ted gossiped about the latest goings-on, then heard a ruckus behind the CEO door.
Of course, that was Kyle (Michael Mealor) up to no good with Dina (Marla Adams). They were fighting over documents that are part of a sizzling storyline about Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson).
Ted was his usual helpful self, offering to go inside and peek. We saw him last week as well when he had to clean up the glass wall disaster that Jack (Peter Bergman) left behind.
Ted is now sitting at Gloria’s desk, but there has been no onscreen comment about Gloria’s fate. He has interacted with the Abbott’s and just seems eager to please if a bit vacuous in the head.
But he’s no Glo! She’s a work in progress, sure, but her snarky wit and magnificent bon mot’s are pleasant diversions from the usual soapy drama that goes on in Genoa City.
She’s Michael Baldwin’s mom (Christian LeBlanc) mom, but he’s been MIA lately as well. Could Gloria have suffered the same ignoble fate as Chief of Police Paul Williams (Doug Davidson), here one day gone the next?
Rumors have circulated that Judith Chapman has been tapped for Days of our Lives. After her absence in Genoa City, this is a plausible connection. Will she return to her spot at Jabot? Only time will tell!
The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS and in the evening on PopTv.
