Kelly Thiebaud returned to her role and now people are wondering who Britt on General Hospital is. She debuted at the tail end of yesterday’s show and is featured more prominently in today’s episode.
News that Kelly Thiebaud was back as Britt on General Hospital broke several days ago and she is now appearing on-screen. She arrived just in time to help her friend in need, but is that the only reason for her visit to Port Charles?
Who is Britt on General Hospital?
When she debuted on General Hospital back in 2012, she was brought on to be the love interest of Dr. Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson). She was an OBGYN at the hospital and was quickly woven into the canvas on Port Charles.
Her family ties run deep as well. Britt is the daughter of supervillain Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) and Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati). She goes by Britt Westbourne, the maiden name of her mother and aunt, Madeline Reeves (Donna Mills). Nathan (Ryan Paevey) was her full-blooded brother and Peter (Wes Ramsey) is her half-brother.
Throughout her time in Port Charles, Britt has had many relationships. She was with Patrick for a while and even canoodled with Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma). Britt and Brad (Parry Shen) had struck up a friendship that has carried through the years and when the two are with one another, they are the rawest.
Her nickname “The Britch” was given to her because of her evil ways. She is known as that among the General Hospital fan bases and also has been called it on-screen as well.
Why is Britt in Port Charles?
Currently, Britt showed up to Brad’s arraignment. The two are talking in the courtroom while he awaits official paperwork after pleading guilty to all of the charges. Of course, she doesn’t want him to lay down and take it, hoping they can beat Nelle (Chloe Lanier) together.
Britt revealed she got her medical license back, which has some General Hospital fans wondering if she will return to the show in a more official capacity. She did not elaborate on how long she will stick around, but her connections to Port Charles are tight.
Also, there is the small detail that Liesl has been locked up for the attempt on Franco’s (Roger Howarth) life and all of the attacks on Andre (Anthony Montgomery) and the disappearance and presumed death of Drew (Billy Miller). Peter did a great job framing her, but maybe Britt can help.
Finally, there is her connection to Nikolas and Spencer (Nicolas Bechtel). She loved that little boy and he was close to her. With the reappearance of his dad, he may come home to see Britt if he finds out she is in Port Charles.
Hopefully, Britt will stick around General Hospital and stir up some of the chaos she is known for, especially in the love department.
