Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) arrived in Port Charles just in time for November sweeps. General Hospital fans initially met her when she was introduced as Aiden’s (Jason David) teacher. Now, there are speculations that her ties to the city are deeper than anyone could have imagined.
The schoolteacher met with Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) and Franco (Roger Howarth) about Aiden and then seemingly disappeared. She was next spotted sleeping in her garage in the hospital parking garage where Chase (Josh Swickard) definitely made an impression on her.
She attended the bereavement group at the hospital, which put her in contact with Michael (Chad Duell). All of this has to mean something, but which scenario is correct?
Wiley’s birth mother
There is speculation that Willow could be the birth mom that decided to give her little boy up for adoption. It is incredibly plausible and would fit with the big picture on General Hospital.
While Wiley died shortly after Brad (Parry Shen) and Lucas (Ryan Carnes) adopted him, no one besides Brad, Nelle (Chloe Lanier) and Julian (William deVry) know the truth.
Could she be attending the group and crossing paths with Michael for this reason? The two appear to be growing closer and a possible romance could blossom between them. Will Willow help Michael heal after the “loss” of Jonah?

Nina’s daughter
General Hospital fans weren’t shocked to learn that Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) is an impostor! Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) is up to his old tricks and this one is a big one.
If what Madeline (Donna Mills) said was correct and Nina’s (Michelle Stafford) daughter is still out there, could it be Willow?
Right now, viewers know nothing about Willow except that she is a teacher. Her family ties are a complete mystery, making things hard to fill in the blanks. If she is really Nina’s daughter, does she even know?
Just another addition
There is some speculation that Willow was added to General Hospital for another purpose that may be revisited down the line.
It wouldn’t be out of the ordinary to introduce a character and then weave them into a storyline as it fits later on. After all, that has happened with others like Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) and Chase.
With November sweeps just getting started, it is possible that Willow was brought to Port Charles with a purpose. As viewers wait to see where the writers are headed with the character, the speculation is beginning to gain steam.
General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC.
