The Walking Dead teased the possible death of Connie and Magna at the end of Season 10, Episode 9. It ends up leading to a lot of what takes place in Episode 10.
Connie (played by Lauren Ridloff) and Magna (Nadia Hilker) were trapped in that cave after an explosion of dynamite caused a massive cave-in.
It left a lot of questions about their futures on the show.
Much of Episode 10 focuses on Daryl trying to find out what happened to Connie (and Magna too), while Alexandria tries to defend itself against an attack from Beta.
But TWD Season 10, Episode 10 isn’t going to answer all of the questions that fans have for the show. This might be tied to what the actress playing Connie has been up to.
Did Connie die on The Walking Dead?
Based on things that showrunner Angela Kang has stated in the past, we are quite sure that AMC viewers are going to see Connie again.
Viewers should consider this a quick pause in the story for Connie, as the actress playing her (Ridloff) was working on Eternals (a movie for Marvel) when the next few Walking Dead episodes were being filmed.

We expect Connie to return to the show, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that she will be back in time for the Season 10 finale, either.
It would be nice to see Connie reunite with Daryl (played by Norman Reedus) and for that storyline to evolve even further, but there are reasons to believe it could be a while.
We already know that TWD Season 10b is going to end with a cliffhanger, so there are a lot of possibilities of where the story could be heading for the final six episodes this winter and spring.
So far, Connie and Magna have not been killed off, giving every reason to believe that they are still alive, despite getting cut off from the rest of the good guys on the show.
With Magna also missing, this will give something for the character of Yumiko (Eleanor Matsuura) to work with for the next few episodes.

Daryl and Connie relationship on The Walking Dead
Many fans want to see the relationship between Daryl and Connie last much longer. It has not been given enough time to bloom on the show, and it would be cruel to do that to Daryl again.
Remember Beth (Emily Kinney)?
Because of Daryl’s fractured relationship with Carol (Melissa McBride), he could use some good news on the Connie front. Unfortunately, he won’t be learning that news during the episode called “Stalker.”
