Theresa Caputo has been through a lot over the last year. From her marriage falling apart to a knee injury while on vacation to celebrate her birthday, the Long Island Medium star has put in a lot of work to get where she is right now.
At the end of 2017, Theresa and Larry Caputo announced they were separated. The two had decided to take some time apart to reevaluate their marriage and see where things would go. Unfortunately, she filed for divorce back in April and since then, things haven’t been easy.
Theresa’s knee injury
While celebrating her birthday in Hawaii, Theresa Caputo decided she was going to get out in the water. She battled with a wave and the Long Island Medium lost. In the process of the wave taking her, Caputo tore her ACL.
On Instagram, Theresa Caputo shared a photo of her with a knee brace on following the incident in Hawaii. Fans were concerned about their favorite reality star, but she definitely took the injury seriously and had it checked out as soon as she returned home to New York.
ACL repair
Back in July, Theresa Caputo underwent surgery to repair her torn ACL. Again, the Long Island Medium shared a photo of herself in the hospital and updated fans that she felt better.
The highlight in all of this is that during her hospital stay, Caputo was able to give a nurse a reading that was definitely needed. This is likely a part of the show as well.
After the surgery, Theresa was headed to get through eight weeks of physical therapy. It looks like everything went well as photos from her social media accounts indicate that she is walking and getting around just fine lately.
There was some backlash about how Larry Caputo handled himself while Theresa Caputo was down and out during her knee injury and subsequent surgery. She had already filed for divorce from him and the two are living on separate coasts. While it would have been nice to see him support her, it wasn’t a realistic expectation.
