On tonight’s Toddlers & Tiaras, the mini-me beauty queens answer the call of jungle as the winner of the safari pageant is revealed amid fierce competition.
Things get wild for the girls in Shreveport, Louisiana, after performing their best safari-inspired routines to a backdrop of glittery animals including a giraffe and lion.
But this contest’s got plenty of bite even without the king of the jungle — with mishaps and bad-manners aplenty, as not everyone is best pleased at the results.
While Cambrie’s toddlers impress, Jaimie’s don’t fare so well. But who will win the new car?
Check out the clip below as pageant director Tonya reveals how the pressures of competition often get the better of some moms.
She says: “Things can get crazy in the jungle. Sometimes maybe that mom wants that win more than the child. I would say that’s one of my pet peeves, for a mum to say ‘well, how’d she win?’. Well, because the judges picked her to win!
“Your kid’s not going to win every single time. You paid for one thing — and that’s someone else’s opinion.”
Also watch the clip from the pageant below as Lily gets off to a flying start in her routine, only to come quickly back down to earth when she finds out her mom has chosen the wrong music — which lasts a lot longer than it’s meant to.
But all kudos to Lilly who manages to keep on dancing in front of the judges as if nothing’s happened, like a true professional.
Toddlers and Tiaras airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on TLC.
