Tonight HBO airs a documentary about the Charlie Hebdo terrorist attacks in Paris, 2015.
Three Days of Terror: The Charlie Hebdo Attacks recounts the terrible events that happened on January 7th last year, when two brothers attacked the offices of the satirical magazine.
The pair were members of Al-Qaeda in Yemen and decided to take revenge on the magazine for what they saw as blasphemy.
They killed 11 people and injured 11 more before going on the run. They then killed a police officer as they left and over the next few days related attacks claimed the lives of another five innocent people.
The film uses footage from security cameras, cellphones – together with photos and testimony from survivors to help recreate the events as they unfolded.
Showing both the terror of the attack and the bravery of both police and ordinary people of France.
Directed by Emmy-nominated Dan Reed, who previously made Terror at the Mall.
Watch Three Days of Terror: The Charlie Hebdo Attacks tonight at 8 PM on HBO.
