Twitter has thoughts on Randall (Sterling K. Brown) pledging Omega Psi Phi on This Is Us during his what-if scenario.
The latest episode of the hit NBC drama featured Randall detailing his perfect and a worst-case scenario of his life if Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) had lived.
It was a roller-coaster of a ride for viewers, full of smoking hot older Jack and two disturbing alternate life realities for Randall. One was his too-perfect life. The other was like watching the Twilight Zone.
Both versions helped Randall in his much-needed therapy session with Dr. Leigh (Pamela Adlon).
He came to a pivotal conclusion in the end that is going to have a dramatic impact on his relationship with Rebecca (Mandy Moore), Kevin (Justin Hartley), and Kate (Chrissy Metz).
Twitter reacts to Omega Psi Phi on This Is Us
In his worst-case version, college Randall (Niles Fitch) goes to Howard like he originally planned before Jack died. Life in college was drastically different for Randall at Howard.
He joined the Omega Psi Phi fraternity and became a ladies man.
Twitter had mixed reactions to the alternate version of Randall’s life, but especially that he was part of the Omega Psi Phi fraternity. Many users felt it was fantastic the NBC show decided to honor the frat.
“This Is Us be comin with that culture…shout out to the @ThisIsUsWriters for not being afraid to show/share Omega Psi Phi on that platform,” wrote one user.

Others weren’t thrilled with the use of Omega Psi Phi, but not because of the frat. Some fans simply thought Randall would never be a part of a fraternity.

The mixed reaction regarding Randall and the fraternity was really about Twitter not being fond of the alternate version of Randall.
“So Randall is more Black, a Omega Psi Phi man, diamond earring wearing, womanizing, uncaring MoFo! NO SIR Stop NOW!” remarked one Twitter user.

Sterling and Niles performances
There is one thing social media agrees on regarding This Is Us, After the Fire, episode. Sterling and Niles delivered incredible performances throughout the show.
They each killed it playing alternate universe Randall. It was strange for viewers to see the character from that perspective. However, it was believable thanks to the incredible acting talents of both men.
Kudos to Niles and Sterling for once again entertaining This Is Us fans with your acting skills.
This Is Us airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on NBC.
