A Million Little Things has given viewers a big mystery to solve. There are so many questions about what really happened to Jon (Ron Livingston) and now — what is Rutledge?
The pilot episode revealed Ashley (Christina Ochoa) deleting computer files with Rutledge trust on them. At that point, it didn’t seem too significant, but now, A Million Little Things viewers have revealed that it is definitely important in the puzzle.
What is Rutledge?
Last week, A Million Little Things revealed that Rutledge is the last name of the elevator inspector who signed off on the particular elevator the friends were stuck on when their friendship was born. They would joke that Rutledge impacted their lives, and that was true in more ways than one.
Ashley knows that Jon left Delilah (Stephanie Szostak) a note with detailed instructions on where to find Rutledge. She has not given her the letter and most recently was seen closing an account and shredding documents in Jon’s secret apartment.
Katherine (Grace Park) knows about Rutledge and when she confided in Gary (James Roday) about the payments Ashley was making, they both set out to find her. Unfortunately, they went to her actual apartment where she had taken Gary and not to the apartment Jon kept hidden from everyone.
How with Rutledge change things on A Million Little Things?
Viewers learned that Rutledge became a code word for Jon’s family (Delilah and his two children) and taking care of them. The idea that the trust is named Rutledge makes sense with that explanation. Will it be able to be saved from the massive amount of debt that has been piling up?
The Rutledge trust is set up with beneficiaries named. All of the guys are included on it and so is the mysterious Barbara Morgan. With her dismissive attitude toward Ashley, there is no telling how all of this will play out.
As the season plays out, more information is revealed. The pieces of the puzzle are starting to come together and when they do, viewers will get all the answers they have been searching for.
A Million Little Things airs Thursday nights at 9/8c on ABC.
