The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is back! Season 7 promises to be the best yet, and newbie Dorit Kemsley is one of the main reasons why.
The season sees her declaring war on some of the other Housewives. But who is she?
Dorit, 40, is a mum-of-two who spent 10 years working for an international swimwear brand in Italy before moving to New York City and launching her own swimwear brand, Dorit.
It combines “Italian fabrics and the classic American fit” to create stylish pieces for the beach and pool. They are also designed to be “versatile” so are easily adjustable meaning you can still wear them after eating one too many desserts.
The firm also creates “resort wear” which you can wear on top of your swimsuit to move through the various stages of the day without hassle.
After moving to NYC she met her husband, British businessman Paul “PK” Kemsley, at a restaurant. He has his fingers in lots of pies but is mainly a property developer.
He is the former CEO of the New York Cosmos soccer team, and former vice-chairman of the British Premier League soccer team Tottenham Hotspur.
He also manages the singer Boy George and Brazilian soccer legend Pele, through the management agency he runs with Dorit’s help, called Nixxi Entertainment.
The couple are now super-close with Boy George, who often joins them in their 10,000 sq ft home. Dorit said: “He is just part of the family. I mean, he practically lives here!”
Boy George is even her daughter Phoenix’s godfather. She also has a young son, Jagger.
Dorit and Paul moved to Los Angeles in May 2015, and she joined RHOBH on the advice of her friend and fellow Real Housewife Lisa Vanderpump.
The Vanderpump Rules star describes Dorit as an “amazing person”, but predicted rifts with her Bravo co-stars.
Lisa said: “She might not have that much in common with some of the other women, because she’s a really lovely girl. She’ll definitely get on with Kyle [Richards], well hopefully all of them, but we’ll see.”
The couple both have growing followings on social media, where they often post pictures and videos of their kids and day-to-day lives.
Dorit had around 6,000 followers on her Instagram as the season started, while Paul had 3,000.
